Wrist way to go

I was finally pushed to my limits to find out what all the colored wrist bands were all about, last time I was on a plane. The woman next to me had so many on she jingled everytime she turned a page of her magazine. Very annoying. It really doesn't surprise me on the popularity of the bands. We live in a materialistic society that craves for attention.

Here's the catch regarding the yellow cancer bands. The production of both plastics and rubber (which use oil during manufacturing) generate nasty stuff into our atmosphere that kills the layers (ozone, etc) that are protecting us from the harsh environment of space, which in turn, yes increases the risk of cancer. So in your effort to "educate" me about cancer, you have created, more cancer. As if people really need to be reminded about cancer, given we all have lost a close relative or friend to cancer. If you really want to help, maybe you should be writing to you politicians to promote stem cell research, or donate to a private organization that are trying new ideas to battle cancer. Or, how about getting a tattoo that says you donated to "fill in blank" charity. Wear it like you mean it, and not like some sort of fad. Kudos, to all those bikers that love their mom (aka Mother tattoos)

I've donate 2 cars to volunteers of America and never used it as a tax write off, Donated blood, and never wore the sticker, or donated to PBS and asked for the free tote bag. There I feel better now that people know I'm not such a cheap ass. Now, were did I put my "support the troops" magnet ;) Lord knows, we've forgotten there's still a war on.
