Lawyer Land

How many Lawyers are running this country anyways? I remember the number one complaint about John Edwards is that he's a lawyer, and who wants a blood sucking lawyer running the country.

Well with recent events in New Orleans, questions are being raised about the resumes of Bush's staff. Take the former FEMA director. A freak'n law boy. Then we have the head of Homeland security, Chertoff...yep another law boy.

So let me get this strait. Shit hits fan, these guys are going to save us? Maybe we're going to sue the terrorists for 9/11 and God for creating the hurricanes.

By the way, the new guy running FEMA was the dude that told us to stock-up on plastic and duct tape to defy a terrorist attack. Better add plywood to the list.

How many Lawyers are running the country anyways?

President John F. Kennedy (D - Mass) was a lawyer
President William J. Clinton (D – Arkansas (NY)) is a Lawyer
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm (D - Michigan) is a lawyer
Senator Ed Kennedy (D – Mass.) is a lawyer
Senator Carl Levin (D – Michigan)
Senator Joseph R. Biden (D – Delaware) is a lawyer (and who I hope will be the next President of the USA)
My point: Though I understand your anger/frustration, you’re looking at the symptoms and making an incorrect diagnosis: ‘lawyers are detrimental to the running of this country’. Hence, using the subjects you’ve mentioned – FEMA and the current administration that is ‘running this country’, I propose that ONE of the main reasons for the terrible state this country is in is because of the cronyism in our Nation’s Capital by self-righteous hypocritical Republicans from the wealthy, white elitist sector of the Republican party that panders to the radically conservative Christians. ~ CT/NY
