More on Cars. Less on Hope.

More bad news for the American auto companies, GM and Ford. This time, it comes from the president. Looks like Bush will not give any aid to the failing auto industry, while giving the advice: build more appealing products. He goes on to say: "As these automobile manufacturers compete for market share and use technology to try to get consumers to buy their product, they also will be helping America become less dependent on foreign sources of oil."

Please Mr. President, don't start sounding like a democrat, it just makes you sound more like shit. Expect Bush to state in his upcoming Union address, how it would be a novel idea to find alternative fuel sources. Yet in 1993, Bill Clinton already wrote the story on this.

Problems with the American auto industry are these (anyone who took the "History of Michigan class" at MSU will see this is just review) :

1) Out of touch, the oil crisis is never going to go away
2) Old school Unions - your paying high school grads how much?
3) Bloated High Brass. How much are you making on the Superbowl?
4) Planned obsolescence is still in practice
5) Stomped out American competition. Ever heard of Kaiser-Frazer, Tucker, or the American Motor Company (AMC)? These Guys just may have taken the lead for the American industry.
