Last night while channel surfing, I landed on ESPN 2. They had a program that was dedicated to a bunch of dudes in suits talking about this years NCAA basketball bracket. It was your usual panel of retired coaches, players, and sport editors/reports.
What caught my eye, wasn't so much as the content, but rather what some of the panel members were holding. I gigantic booklet, some 1000+ pages long of all the various players stats and team records for all the teams in this years tournament.
These things had to be thicker then the current Health Care proposal. And that's exactly my point. At no point, did I hear a single commentator bitch about the size of what they beheld. In fact, it was just the opposite, where they would eagerly scan through the piles of pages looking to find the next stat. Drool and heavy stuttering was the norm during the discussion. These are truly real men that love their content, and aren't afraid of the occasional paper cut.
So, why in the world are the loud mouthed American populous so scared of such a large health plan of equal size? I've heard over and over on Fox News about how big and complicated the plan is. Dear God, it a frick'n overhaul! It should be complex, its not big enough!
That is, without a public plan, nor the Cadillac tax ...the current Democrat plan sucks and should die. Maybe in another 15 years, we can give it another go.
