Welcome Week at MSU for the local folk is a lot like the movie Groundhogs Day. Students asking the same questions, Parents having the same concerns. New relationship being created, as High School sweethearts are given the boot. Kids learning how to live on their own, well, at least away from their parents. The same fears, the same parties, the same cheap beer being smuggled, long lines, drivers going against the one way roads, etc. People wandering aimlessly trying to find books, buildings, food, prey, life. You'd think after 150 years we'd get better at this. From my perspective, it's the same thing.
I guess in a way, I should be thankful for this repeat. Without MSU, Lansing would be another Flint, only with a crappier airport.
I predict Monday will be the most hectic time on campus, as classes kick off, but in less then a month, students will click in real fast, that 8:00 Mondays just don't work. I know I've seen this all before.
