Home Depot - Part 2
This story just seems to be getting better and better.
Yesterday, I called HD to see if my snow thrower was in. While I learned they had several in back, non were my brand. Knowing the snow was on route, I asked for my old snow thrower assuming it was fixed. They talk to the repair person and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived, I learned they were looking at the wrong one (a cheaper 1 stage model). I was then told my snow thrower is still gone at the shop, as there may have been a problem with the rollers. Time of return, Monday. Funny, since it was supposed to fixed last Monday. When I asked Kenn, whom worked in the lawn care department if I was basically SOL, he said, "yep, but heard only 2-4 inches were on route."
Later, I called the manager at Home Depot. I gave Rob my sob story and asked what he could do for me. He filled in for me that he had to pull all his snow blowers, due to a gas line fault. He was reluctant to tell me if my model/brand was one of them. Little did he know, I had a different person on the floor confirm, my model had never shown up anyways. All they had left to sell, was a $1000 10HP snow thrower. Keep in mind, mine was a 7HP. After pushing him, he offered to knock off $100. Great, so now he's trying to profit off their mistakes. Good Job Rob, your a true sales person.
The overall problem, I would have bought from somewhere else, if I wasn't assured by Home Depot it was supposed to be in last Wednesday. Snow in Holt - 10 inches.
