Freedom Fries and Politics

I'm not really going to try to understand French politics. Heck, I can hardly understand my own countries politics. So I didn't really stay in tuned to the French election. My needs, are simple. I just want to know if I can start eating french fries again.

You see, since I didn't want to go against the Patriot Act (which is all about being a patriot, right?), it was my duty to stand up with Republicans Nay and Jones of the House of Reps, and rename everything that is french. US Tax payers did after all, pay for the name changes in DC. And of course, I had to give up my beloved french wine. But, now it should be okay, now that the French have a new conservative, US loving, Christian president.

Er, wait. Wasn't the last French President, Chirac a conservative Christian of the same political party as the new upcoming president? Hmm, now I'm not sure what to do. Alas, Ney is no longer in office, so now we have to look toward Jones of North Carolina, for his ever wise guidance again. Can we move away from our freedom toast, freedom fries, freedom horns, and freedom ticklers? Can we finally enjoy all that is french, especially that vin?
