Mac gets 8-Cores...

...better late then never. In true Apple fashion, Apple announced today their high end desktops will carry 8 cores of processing power. They toss in a 30" monitor and neglect to mention the $3500-$4000 price tag. While I'm all for more power, what rubs me is how apple markets their stuff as something new. Dell has been offering 8 cores to the general public for well over a year.

iPhones, iPods, light weight laptops were nothing more then existing products that Apple added flashier glare and a lot of marketing power behind it. Oh well, I don't see MSU adding a Mac to the High Performance Computing lab, but hey, just imagine the speeds I can get on facebook. Oh, nevermind, its the internet connection thats the bottle neck.
