Bin Laden Football Career

There's going to be a lot of misinformation about the history of Osama bin Laden, so lets get this right. Using an analogy US citizens can understand, American Football.

The year is 1998. Osama bin Laden, strikes first with the bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The game officially begins.

Democrat, Bill Clinton, goes on the offense, and strikes back at Bin Laden in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, the defense Clinton was going up against was too strong, and he was forced to punt. But the opponent was not Osama bin Laden, but rather, the Republicans that controlled the Legislature branch. As it was indeed the Republicans, led by Newt Gingrich, who became the biggest roadblock to the fight against terrorism and brought a halt to the forward momentum against the terrorists.

The year is now 2001. The Republicans are now in possession of the ball. The new head coach, George W. Bush. Whats their first play? Delay of game. Hmm, maybe they have a really good play coming up. But instead, another delay of game. The Republicans fail to get past the line of scrimmage.

9/11/2001. Game on, bin Laden strikes again. This time in our own home field. Fans take notice, but Bush is allowed to complete his 4 year contract. After all, the Republicans had a fantastic Defense. With their talking heads, and propaganda machines, they convinced the American people that they could win the game. Bush signs on for another 4 years. Little did we know, the offensive coordinator Donald Rumsfeld was crap.

Americans forgot the fundamentals of the game. You can't win a game with only a good defense, and no offense. Any Lions fan could tell you that. Stalemate.

2009. Turnover. Republicans loose the ball to the new freshman Democrat coach Barack Obama. Obama shows up with a well rounded team, from both sides of the political aisle ...makes a few plays ...then drives the ball down bin Laden's throat.

Let it be known, it was a Democrat that started the hunt for Osama bin Laden. It was a Democrat that ended the hunt. Yet, Republicans will still live with the illusion that Dems are weak hippies.
