It would seem during the Democratic Convention, a group of dumbass Christians (Focus on the Family) decided it would be a good idea to pray for rain during the convention. Their prayers included "abundant, torrential" rains that would create flash flood warnings and "swamp the intersections." Well, it would seem, God did indeed answer their prayers in the form of Hurricane Gustav during the Republican Convention.
Who knows, maybe good was confused which convention was supposed to be flooded out (doubtful...he is all knowing). Or maybe, God just thought that ironny would be sweet, and is tired of all the right wing Evangelical nagging.
